Workforce Investment Act

Niagara County Employment & Training, partnering with the local New York State Department of Labor's Division of Workforce Services, operates the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) for Adults, Dislocated Workers, and Summer Youth, and other funds as approved by the Niagara County Workforce Investment Board.

The Workforce Investment Board, our governing body, is a business-led Board focusing on strategic planning, policy development, and oversight of our local system.
Information on the Board can be found at the Niagara County WIB's website.

By using a variety of resources, our agency is able to provide services to both businesses and job seekers who are unemployed, under-employed, or are Dislocated Workers due to business closure or significant lay-off of the workforce.

Niagara County Employment and Training and Niagara County’s WorkSourceOne One-Stop Center are equal opportunity agencies/programs. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. The local Workforce Investment Act Equal Opportunity Officer is Kathryn Beckhorn, phone (716) 278-8109, 1001 Eleventh Street, Niagara Falls, NY.
